Lottery prizes — tiers, amounts and number of winners

The prize for matching four numbers in Lotto is usually between 100 and 200 PLN. The amount is not fixed: four matches belong to the third prize tier, which shares a set percentage of the prize pool. The more players match four numbers in a given draw, the smaller the amount for a single win.

Only the prize for matching three numbers is fixed — 24 PLN, regardless of the number of winners or the size of the jackpot. All other tiers in Lotto are variable.

The prize for matching three numbers in Lotto is 24 PLN and is a guaranteed amount. It is the only tier in this game whose amount does not depend on the number of winners or the prize pool.

A basic bet costs 3 PLN, so matching three numbers pays out eight times the stake. In a multi-draw bet, the amount for matching three numbers does not increase — only the number of chances to win multiplies.

Prize tiers are usually published within an hour of the draw. The numbers themselves appear immediately, but dividing the prize pool requires counting all bets, so amounts and the number of winners arrive with a delay.

If the prize tier table is empty a few hours after the draw, Totalizator Sportowy simply hasn't announced them yet. It's worth coming back in a few minutes — we update them automatically.

A dash means that no one hit that tier in a given draw. It is not a data gap or an error — we deliberately do not write "0 PLN" in such a row, because that looks like a malfunction rather than information.

In practice a dash next to the first tier appears in Lotto more often than an amount: that's exactly when the pool rolls over to the next draw and the jackpot grows.

The amount of a prize depends on two things: the share of a given tier in the prize pool, and the number of players who hit that tier. The pool is a set percentage of revenue from bets sold in a given draw.

That's why the same number of matches can be worth a completely different amount in two consecutive draws. An amount stated without the draw date has no informational value — that's why on every table on this page the amount stands next to a specific date.

A 10% tax is withheld on prizes above 2280 PLN. The amount is deducted automatically at payout, and the player does not need to declare it in their annual tax return.

Prizes up to and including 2280 PLN are tax-exempt. The amounts in the tables on this page are pre-tax values — exactly as published by Totalizator Sportowy.
