How much does a bet cost in every number game in 2026
Lech Andrzejewski
A single Lotto bet has cost 5 zł since 18 August 2026, up from the earlier 3 zł — a rise of 67 percent. The surcharge for Lotto Plus remained unchanged at 1 zł, so a coupon covering both draws now costs 6 zł instead of 4 zł. Prices of the other number games did not change: Eurojackpot is 12.50 zł, Mini Lotto 2 zł, Multi Multi 2.50 zł, Kaskada 2 zł. For Lotto this was the first price change since October 2009, meaning nearly seventeen years.
Price list for the six number games in 2026
The table sets out the prices before and after the change. It is worth noting Mini Lotto: in percentage terms it rose the most of all the games, from 1.25 zł to 2 zł, but in absolute terms it remains the cheapest bet in the entire Totalizator Sportowy offer.
| Game | Price of 1 bet | Change | What you pick |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lotto | 5.00 zł | raised from 3.00 zł on 18.08.2026 | 6 numbers out of 49 |
| Lotto Plus (surcharge) | 1.00 zł | unchanged | same numbers as Lotto |
| Lotto together with Plus | 6.00 zł | was 4.00 zł | one coupon, two draws |
| Eurojackpot | 12.50 zł | unchanged | 5 out of 50 plus 2 out of 12 |
| Mini Lotto | 2.00 zł | unchanged | 5 numbers out of 42 |
| Multi Multi | 2.50 zł | unchanged; with the Plus option 5.00 zł | 1 to 10 numbers out of 80 |

Why Lotto got 100 percent more expensive
The rise from 3 zł to 5 zł is an increase of 67 percent. The previous price change took place in October 2009 — for nearly seventeen years the nominal price did not move, even though the purchasing power of the złoty clearly fell over that time. The new price took effect on 18 August 2026 at 22:10, right after the draw.
Along with the price, the structure of prizes changed. The guaranteed pool for the first prize tier rose from 2 million zł to 3 million zł, and the fixed prize for matching three numbers rose from 24 zł to 35 zł. These are the only two amounts that Totalizator Sportowy guarantees in advance; the size of the remaining tiers depends on the number of matches in a given draw and is announced after the draw.
One thing is important and easy to miss: a higher bet price does not change the probability of winning. The chance of matching all six in Lotto is 1 in 13,983,816 and was the same at a price of 2 zł, 3 zł, and remains the same at 5 zł. Only the amount of money flowing into the prize pool changes.
Multiple bet — the cost grows linearly
A multiple bet is simply the same coupon paid for several consecutive draws. The calculation is simple: the bet price times the number of draws. For Lotto it looks like this.
- 1 draw — 5 zł
- 4 draws — 20 zł
- 8 draws — 40 zł
- 12 draws — 60 zł
For Lotto Plus, each of the amounts above should be increased by 1 zł per draw. A Lotto coupon with Plus for twelve draws therefore costs 72 zł. Totalizator Sportowy does not apply volume discounts — the cost rises exactly linearly and there is no threshold beyond which an additional draw becomes cheaper.
How much a system bet costs
A full system is all possible combinations of the chosen numbers, and each combination is a separate paid bet. The cost is calculated using the formula for combinations without repetition. For Lotto at a price of 5 zł per bet it looks like this.
| Numbers chosen | Number of bets | Cost at 5 zł |
|---|---|---|
| 7 numbers | 7 | 35 zł |
| 8 numbers | 28 | 140 zł |
| 9 numbers | 84 | 420 zł |
| 10 numbers | 210 | 1,050 zł |
| 12 numbers | 924 | 4,620 zł |
The jump in cost is steep: adding two numbers to a system of ten raises the bill from 1,260 zł to 5,544 zł. An exact calculation for any number of picks in each of the six games can be found in the shortened and full systems calculator. A reduced system lowers the cost, because it covers only part of the combinations — at the price of a lower guarantee of a match.
What is left after tax
The bet price is one side of the ledger, the tax on the prize is the other. A single prize up to 2,280 zł is exempt from income tax in Poland. Above that threshold, Totalizator Sportowy withholds a flat 10 percent of the full prize value and remits it itself — the player files no declaration at all.
With a guaranteed first-tier pool of 4 million zł, that means 400,000 zł in tax and 3.6 million zł to be paid out. The full rules, along with thresholds and collection deadlines, are described in our prize tax calculator.
Where you pay the same, and where it differs
The bet price is identical at a retail point, in the mobile app, and on the Totalizator Sportowy website. There is no surcharge for the sales channel and no handling fee for buying online. A coupon bought online is stored in the player's account, so it cannot be lost — and that is the only practical difference between the channels.
Where a prize is collected, however, depends on its amount. Small prizes are paid out at any retail point, while larger ones require a visit to one of the seventeen Totalizator Sportowy branches in Poland. We have gathered the full list, along with addresses and opening hours, on the page where to collect a prize.
The price rise and a player's budget
For someone who played one Lotto bet in each of the three weekly draws, the monthly spend rose from around 36 zł to around 60 zł. For a coupon with Lotto Plus, that is a jump from 48 zł to 72 zł. In both cases the difference over a year comes to around 288 zł — the Plus surcharge did not change, so the entire increase comes from Lotto itself.
This is a good moment to set your own limit and stick to it. A number game is entertainment with a negative expected value — over the long run the sum of stakes always exceeds the sum of winnings, because part of the money funds the prizes, part the tax, and part the organiser's operations. A higher bet price does not change that arithmetic in either direction.
Games of chance are intended solely for adults (18+). The result of every draw is independent of previous ones and entirely random — no method of play or choice of numbers changes the probability of winning. The prices given in this text come from the price list in effect from 18 August 2026; the binding text is the current game rules.
