Lotto is not the only number game on offer

Lotto has operated in Poland since 1957 and remains the most recognizable number game. However, it is just one item in the catalog of Totalizator Sportowy — the only entity that, under the Gambling Act, may run number games within the country.

The other games were launched in different years and answer different expectations. Mini Lotto has the smallest number pool among „pick and wait” games, Multi Multi and Kaskada are drawn twice a day, Keno every few minutes, and Eurojackpot offers the highest jackpots because it is played simultaneously in a dozen or so European countries. Games based on the same mechanics as Lotto

Mini Lotto and Kaskada work exactly like Lotto: the player picks a fixed number of numbers, the machine draws a set, and the prize depends on the number of matches. The difference lies solely in the pool size and the count of drawn numbers.

In Mini Lotto you pick 5 numbers out of 42, in Kaskada — 6 out of 24, with as many as 12 numbers drawn in Kaskada. A smaller pool means a higher probability of matching the full set, but also a proportionally lower main prize. This is a mathematical relationship, not a matter of one game being „better” or „worse”: the larger the pool, the rarer the hit and the higher the jackpot can be.

Lotto Plus, in turn, is not a separate game but an add-on to the Lotto ticket. The picked numbers take part in a second, independent draw, and the main prize has a fixed amount — it does not accumulate between draws, so its value does not grow in series without a „six”.

Games where you decide how many numbers to pick

Multi Multi and Keno differ from Lotto in that the player sets the number of picks themselves — from one to ten. The machine draws 20 numbers (out of 80 in Multi Multi, out of 70 in Keno), and the prize table assigns a payout to the combination of „how many picked / how many matched”.

This design gives quite a bit of freedom, but it does not change the basic rule: every draw is independent of the previous one, and the expected payout for the player is always lower than the amount staked. Picking fewer numbers increases the frequency of small wins at the cost of the prize amounts — and vice versa. None of the variants changes this relationship in the player's favor.

Multi Multi additionally has a „plus” bet option, in which you pick one extra number from a separate pool. Keno, on the other hand, stands out for its pace: draws take place every few minutes for most of the day, making it the game with the shortest cycle among machine draws.

Eurojackpot and scratch cards — two extremes of the offer

Eurojackpot is a game run jointly by operators from a dozen or so European countries. You pick 5 numbers out of 50 and 2 numbers from a separate pool of 12. Draws take place on Tuesdays and Fridays, and the prize pool — thanks to the shared market — tends to be the highest among all games available in Poland. The price of a single bet is correspondingly higher than in Lotto.

At the other extreme are scratch cards: the result is known immediately after scratching off the layer, without waiting for a draw. Each series has a predetermined number of tickets and a prize distribution described in the rules of the specific scratch card — in practice the outcome is already set at the printing stage of the series, and the moment of scratching only reveals it.

How to read the differences between the games

When comparing games, it is worth looking at three values at once: the size of the number pool, the count of picked numbers, and the ticket price. These three parameters together determine how often a given prize tier occurs and what share of the revenue the operator allocates to prizes.

No combination of numbers is more or less likely than any other — the drawing machine has no memory, and the results of previous draws do not influence the following ones. The occurrence statistics for individual numbers that we publish on the site describe the past and serve to compare historical data, not to forecast.

The choice between games therefore comes down to preference: a shorter cycle and smaller payouts (Keno, Multi Multi), a smaller pool and more frequent full matches with a lower prize (Mini Lotto, Kaskada), or the highest jackpots with the rarest hits (Eurojackpot).

Frequently asked questions about the other number games

Is it easier to win in any of these games? A full set is statistically hit more often where the pool is smaller — in Mini Lotto and Kaskada. However, the main prize there is correspondingly lower, so „easier” refers only to the frequency of the event, not its value.

Does Lotto Plus require a separate ticket? No. It is an add-on marked on the same ticket as Lotto, covering the same picked numbers. Skipping the add-on does not affect participation in the basic Lotto draw.

Where can I check the current prices and times? Only in the rules and schedule published by Totalizator Sportowy. The operator changes them from time to time, and any external write-up — including ours — may be outdated on the day you read it.
