Large lottery wins in Poland: Eurojackpot examples and comparisons
· Updated: Dariusz Ostrowski
In brief
The official Eurojackpot list provides dated Polish prizes exceeding PLN 190 million. We compare three results from 2019–2022. Each amount belongs to a particular first-tier prize, not today’s rollover.
Which large Polish wins does the Eurojackpot list confirm?
The three entries below come from the operator’s official list. This comparison has a defined scope and does not include every game or every later draw.
| Date | Location in the announcement | First-tier prize |
|---|---|---|
| 12.08.2022 | Krotoszyn County | PLN 213,584,986 |
| 13.08.2021 | Bierun-Ledziny County | PLN 206,550,000 |
| 10.05.2019 | Piotrkow County | PLN 193,396,500 |
Are the table amounts take-home payments?
The table reproduces prize amounts reported by the operator. Do not automatically label them net payments. Prize settlement must be distinguished from the published amount and from the winner’s later financial decisions.
The page content remains available.
Why is the 2019 prize insufficient to describe the record?
The later 2021 and 2022 entries on the same official list are larger. Keeping the older amount as a current record would mislead readers even though the historical prize itself was reported correctly.
Does the ticket-sale location identify where the winner lives?
That should not be inferred. A location associated with the ticket sale is not proof of residence. Preserve the operator’s description of the location when citing it.
How can you check a new record yourself?
Open the relevant game’s highest-prizes list and check its sorting, date and prize tier. When comparing Lotto with Eurojackpot, distinguish the games and a total pool from an individual prize.
Is a record jackpot pool the same as Poland's largest individual win?
No. One entry's prize, the total pool and the net payout can differ. Report the game, date and operator source, and specify the currency for Eurojackpot.
