Detailed analysis for this sample

Number decades in draws

How often numbers from each block of ten (1–10, 11–20, …) came up. We count hits, not draws: one Eurojackpot draw gives 5 hits, one for every number drawn. Random model: N × 5 × (numbers in the decade ÷ 50). The last decade is often shorter, so its expectation is lower.

Hits in range (N = 100 draws)

500

N × 5 numbers picked, source: history

Most above expectation

21-30

106 hits against 100.0 expected (+6.0)

Most below expectation

1-10

90 hits against 100.0 expected (−10.0)

Hits versus the random model

Each bar shows how many drawn numbers fell into the decade. The dashed line joins the expected counts of the random model; the last decade is shorter, so its expectation is lower. 0 106 Decade 1-10: 90 hits, expected 100.0, N = 100 Decade 11-20: 95 hits, expected 100.0, N = 100 Decade 21-30: 106 hits, expected 100.0, N = 100 Decade 31-40: 106 hits, expected 100.0, N = 100 Decade 41-50: 103 hits, expected 100.0, N = 100 Random-model expectation per decade

Bars: hits from history; dashed line: random-model expectation for the same N.

Hits by decade

Hits = how many times a number from this decade came up in the N draws (history). Expected = N × 5 × numbers in the decade ÷ 50 (model). Difference = hits − expected.

decadehits% of hitsexpecteddifference
1-10 90 18.0% 100.0 −10.0
11-20 95 19.0% 100.0 −5.0
21-30 106 21.2% 100.0 +6.0
31-40 106 21.2% 100.0 +6.0
41-50 103 20.6% 100.0 +3.0

In 100 draws the most hits above the model went to decade 21-30 (+6.0), the fewest to decade 1-10 (−10.0). The difference alone does not settle statistical significance; this describes the past, it is not a tip.

Interactive tools

Explore the same data actively. The tools describe history and the random model; they do not predict the next result.

My selection — check its properties against history

This describes the entered selection and its position in the historical sample. It does not increase its chance.

Random-model simulator — see ordinary random variation

Generate independent draws with the rules of this game and compare observed counts with the common expected value. Every run is different.

What do these numbers show?
  • In 100 draws numbers from decade 21-30 came up 106 times, while the random model gave 100.0 — 6.0 more. That is the decade furthest above expectation in this range.
  • The weakest decade was 1-10: 90 hits against 100.0 expected — 10.0 fewer.

These are historical data. Each draw is independent of previous draws, so these numbers do not tell us what will be drawn next.

How do I use this page?
  1. Choose a number of recent draws or a range of years.
  2. Check the number of hits in bands of ten numbers.
  3. The percentages refer to all drawn numbers, not to the number of draws.
  4. Compare the hits with an expectation that accounts for the size of the decade.

What this page does not do: it does not predict future results and does not improve your chance of winning.
