What do these numbers mean?

Theory — what is a bank deposit calculator?

A bank deposit calculator estimates the final balance of your savings based on the interest rate, term and compounding frequency. It calculates interest monthly and adds it to the principal according to the chosen compounding, while tax on interest is deducted at each compounding. It also shows gross and net profit along with the real value of your money after accounting for inflation. Any extra deposit added mid-month only starts earning interest from the following month.

Frequently asked questions

Does the deposit calculator include tax on interest?
Yes. The default is a 19% tax on interest, in line with current Polish tax guidance. You can change the rate for scenario analysis.
Is this result exact?
This is a simulation. Banks may use exact day counts, different crediting dates and their own rounding rules. Inflation is an assumption, not a forecast.
