How do I use this page?

What this page does not do: A valid checksum does not confirm that an account exists, its owner or whether a transfer is possible. Institution names come from a dated EWIB snapshot; a missing routing code does not prove an account is invalid. Foreign banks are not identified. Outside Poland, we check length and checksum, not every national BBAN rule. Form data is not sent to NBP or our server.

Theory — IBAN and Polish NRB validator
We remove spaces, check the supported country length and the modulo 97 checksum. For a Polish NRB, digits 3–10 form the routing code: all eight digits must match an entry in our local copy of the NBP EWIB directory. The result includes the directory date. A missing entry does not change the checksum result.
