What do these numbers mean?
  • Compare the total cost, not only the first monthly amount.
  • A lower monthly payment can result from a longer term and a higher total cost.

Actual PPK results depend on fund performance, eligibility, payment timing, withdrawals, taxes and future rules.

How do I use this page?
  1. Fill in the fields in the form above — the result recomputes at once, with no page reload.
  2. Under the result you will find the interpretation scale, if the calculator has one: it says which range your value fell into.
  3. The formula we use is shown lower on this page — you can check the arithmetic yourself.
  4. To compute the same for another game or variant, change it in the select field — prices and pools update automatically.

What this page does not do: Actual PPK results depend on fund performance, eligibility, payment timing, withdrawals, taxes and future rules.

Theory — how are PPK savings calculated?

The basic employee contribution to Employee Capital Plans generally amounts to 2 percent of salary, while the employer contribution is 1.5 percent of the contribution base. The calculator lets you change both shares, the assumed rate of return, annual salary growth and fund management cost to estimate the future account balance. Under certain income conditions the basic employee contribution can be reduced, which also affects the result. All assumed rates of return are only assumptions, not a forecast.

Frequently asked questions

Can the employee contribution be lower than 2% of pay?
Yes, when the statutory conditions for a reduced employee contribution are met. Enter the rate that applies to the participant's current situation.
Is this result exact?
