Venn diagram online

Enter two sets to find shared items and those belonging to only one set.

Separate items with semicolons or new lines. Up to 500 entries per set and 80 characters per item. Repeated items count once; letter case matters. Empty sets are allowed.

Inputs stay in your browser. No account or server submission.

How to use it

  1. Enter A and B, separating items with semicolons or new lines.
  2. Select Compare sets. Duplicate items in each set count once.
  3. Compare the diagram counts with the item lists in the table.

Method and example

A ∩ B is the intersection. A ∪ B contains all distinct items. A ∖ B contains items in A that are not in B.

|A ∪ B| = |A| + |B| − |A ∩ B|. Circle areas are schematic, not proportional to counts.

Items are text: “01” differs from “1”, and “a” differs from “A”. Blank entries and surrounding spaces are ignored. Empty sets are allowed.

Example: A = 1, 2, 3, B = 3, 4. Shared: 3; only A: 1, 2; only B: 4; union: 1, 2, 3, 4.
