Age calculator
How to use this page
- Fill in the fields in the form above — the result recomputes at once, with no page reload.
- Under the result you will find the interpretation scale, if the calculator has one: it says which range your value fell into.
- The formula we use is shown lower on this page — you can check the arithmetic yourself.
- To compute the same for another game or variant, change it in the select field — prices and pools update automatically.
What this page does not do: It does not point to numbers to play and does not predict a draw — every draw is independent of the previous ones.

Figuring out someone's age appears to be an easy job, until you try to do it precisely. Simply subtracting the years gives a result that can be off by a year, because it ignores whether this year's birthday has already occurred. A correct calculation method first compares full years, then months, then days — and steps back by one unit whenever any component comes out negative. Someone born on 15 March 1990 has, on 10 March 2025, completed 34 years, 11 months and 23 days, not 35 years as a simple subtraction of birth years would suggest.
Leap years are a separate issue. A standard year counts 365 days, but every four years an extra day, 29 February, is added, because Earth's orbit around the Sun takes about 365.2422 days. The rule isn't without exceptions: years divisible by 100 are not leap years, unless they are also divisible by 400. Hence 1900 was an ordinary year and 2000 a leap year. It's not just an academic detail for people born on 29 February — in non-leap years their birthday is conventionally treated as 28 February or 1 March, depending on the convention adopted.
Two things this calculator provides should be distinguished. One is calendar age, the other is the total number of days since birth. One can't be directly converted into the other, because months have between 28 and 31 days. Someone who is 30 years old has about 10,957 days behind them, but the exact number depends on how many leap years fell within that period. What's discussed here is calendar age only — the time that has passed since the date of birth. It is not the same with biological age, which depends on health, lifestyle and genetics, and is estimated using entirely different methods.
Frequently asked questions
How exactly is age calculated?
The year, month and day of the birth date are compared, in that order, with the current date. If this year's birthday hasn't occurred yet, one is subtracted from the difference in years. Someone born on 20 December 1990 turns, on 1 June 2025, 34 years, 5 months and 12 days old.
Which years are leap years?
Every year divisible by 4 is a leap year, except years divisible by 100, unless they are also divisible by 400. 2024 was a leap year, 1900 was not, and 2000 was. A leap year has 366 days instead of 365.
How many days are there in 30 years?
About 10,957 days, but the exact number depends on how many leap years fall within that period. Thirty years usually spans 7 or 8 leap years, giving between 10,957 and 10,958 days. The calculator computes this figure to the exact day.
When do people born on 29 February celebrate their birthday?
On 29 February in leap years, and conventionally on 28 February or 1 March in other years — the law doesn't dictate a single answer. Under Polish civil law, a term counted in years ends on the day corresponding to the starting day, and if there is no such day, on the last day of the month.
