Average Fuel Price Calculator
What these numbers mean
- Result for the settings above: 6.31 PLN/l. It updates as soon as any field changes.
The numbers come from the formula and the values you typed above. They are not a forecast — no calculator changes the probability of a single draw.
How to use this page
- Fill in the fields in the form above — the result recomputes at once, with no page reload.
- Under the result you will find the interpretation scale, if the calculator has one: it says which range your value fell into.
- The formula we use is shown lower on this page — you can check the arithmetic yourself.
- To compute the same for another game or variant, change it in the select field — prices and pools update automatically.
What this page does not do: It does not point to numbers to play and does not predict a draw — every draw is independent of the previous ones.

The price displayed by the road rarely matches what you actually pay per liter on average. You fill up at different places, and the difference between a highway station and a neighborhood one in Poland reaches 40–60 cents per liter. This calculator computes a simple arithmetic average from your last three fill-ups — it sums the entered values and divides by three.
For prices of 6.29, 6.45 and 6.19 PLN the sum is 18.93 PLN, and the average is 6.31 PLN per liter. If you drive 15,000 km a year at 7 l/100 km consumption would use 1050 liters, costing 6626 PLN a year. Lowering the average by 20 cents then means 210 PLN in annual savings. A single fill-up won't reveal it — an annual summary will.
It's worth knowing that the arithmetic average has one limitation here: it doesn't weight prices by the number of liters. If you once filled up 10 liters at 6.80 PLN on the highway, and twice 50 liters at 6.10 PLN, the arithmetic average gives 6.33 PLN, but the real cost per liter is 6.16 PLN. A better tool here is a weighted average, where the weight is the number of liters.
The price of fuel in Poland is made up of several components. As of January 1, 2026 the following rates apply: excise duty on motor petrol is 1529 PLN per 1000 liters, on diesel 1160 PLN per 1000 liters, plus a fuel fee and an emission fee, and the whole amount is subject to 23 percent VAT. In sum, taxes account for roughly half the price. Check the current rates before basing a financial decision on this calculation.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate the average fuel price from three fill-ups?
Add the three prices per liter and divide the sum by three. For 6.29 PLN, 6.45 PLN and 6.19 PLN the sum is 18.93 PLN, so the average is 6.31 PLN per liter. Note that you're averaging unit prices, not the amounts paid at the register.
What's the difference between the arithmetic average and the weighted average fuel price?
The arithmetic average treats each fill-up equally, the weighted average accounts for the number of liters. With 10 liters at 6.80 PLN and two fill-ups of 50 liters at 6.10 PLN, the arithmetic average is 6.33 PLN, while the weighted average is 6.16 PLN. The 17-cent difference comes from the expensive fill-up being five times smaller.
How much tax is included in the price of a liter of petrol in Poland?
About half. As of January 1, 2026, excise duty on motor petrol is 1529 PLN per 1000 liters, i.e. 1.53 PLN per liter, plus a fuel fee, an emission fee, and 23 percent VAT calculated on the total. Excise rates change by regulation, so check the current values before calculating.
How much can I save by filling up 20 cents cheaper?
With an annual mileage of 15,000 km and consumption of 7 l/100 km you use 1050 liters, so a 20-cent difference gives 210 PLN a year. With a mileage of 30,000 km and consumption of 9 l/100 km that's already 2700 liters, i.e. 540 PLN a year.
