What do these numbers mean?
  • Compare the total cost, not only the first monthly amount.
  • A lower monthly payment can result from a longer term and a higher total cost.
  • Small recurring fees accumulate over the full term.

This is a mathematical scenario, not an investment forecast. Real returns, fees, taxes and inflation can differ.

How do I use this page?
  1. Enter values from your current offer, agreement or official documents.
  2. Choose the options that match your actual situation.
  3. Calculate the result and compare the detailed components.
  4. Test an alternative scenario before making a decision.

What this page does not do: This is a mathematical scenario, not an investment forecast. Real returns, fees, taxes and inflation can differ.

Theory — how does compound interest work with regular contributions?

The calculator compares the gross balance, after-tax balance, total contributions and the purchasing-power value of regular savings over time. Compound interest means that each calculation period applies to the initial capital, the result accumulated so far, and any contributions already sitting in the account. A contribution made at the start of a month earns one extra period of interest compared with a contribution made at the end, which adds up over many periods into a noticeable difference in the final balance.

Frequently asked questions

What does the compound interest calculator include?
The model compounds the assumed return at the selected frequency, accounts for contribution timing and growth, subtracts the entered annual fee and estimates tax on positive investment profit.
Is this result exact?
This is a mathematical scenario, not an investment forecast. Real returns, fees, taxes and inflation can differ.
Which values should I enter?
Use current values from your agreement, offer, payroll documents or official records. Do not replace unknown costs with zero unless zero is correct.
Can I use the result to compare scenarios?
Yes. Keep the same assumptions and change one input at a time. The result remains an estimate rather than an offer or official settlement.
Why can the real result differ?
Institutions may apply exact dates, individual eligibility rules, rounding and costs that are not present in this simplified form.
