Theory — what does the mortgage calculator compute?
The loan amount is the difference between the property value and the down payment, and the LTV ratio expresses that amount as a percentage of the property value. The cost of the loan beyond the capital includes interest, a commission on the loan amount, entered monthly fees and other one-off costs. The calculator also lets you test a separate scenario with a higher interest rate to see its effect on the payment and household budget.
