What this amount means

Kaskada has no rollover: this is the highest amount that can be won in the next draw, as published by the operator. It does not grow after a draw with no top-prize winner and is not shared from an accumulating pool.

Why does Kaskada have no classic jackpot rollover?

In most number games the size of the top prize depends on ticket sales and on whether anyone won in the previous draw. Kaskada is built on a different principle – every prize tier has a fixed amount assigned to it, which the organiser pays out regardless of circumstances. Matching twelve numbers out of twenty-four is always PLN 250,000, whether or not someone already claimed that sum the day before, or whether no one has done so for months. If several people match the full set in a single draw, each of them receives the full PLN 250,000 – the amount is not split between winners the way it would be under a percentage-based pool.

How does Kaskada differ from the other games?

The difference becomes clear only once you set the games side by side. In Lotto and Eurojackpot, the top-tier pool grows draw by draw when nobody matches the full set – in Eurojackpot it can exceed the equivalent of a hundred million zloty. Mini Lotto has a variable pool too, though a more modest one. Multi Multi pays out fixed amounts, but they depend on how many numbers the player chose to mark. Kaskada has none of these mechanisms: there are twelve numbers on the ticket, twenty-four in the pool, and five fixed prize brackets whose value never changes. It is the most predictable of the six number games – you know from the start exactly how much you can win for each level of match.

What happens during a long run without a top prize?

Nothing. Since the pool does not grow, long stretches without anyone matching twelve numbers do not change the size of the prize in later draws. With two draws a day – at 14:00 and 22:00 – there are around sixty of them in a month, and yet the amount of PLN 250,000 stays the same in the first draw and in the sixtieth. There is also no upper limit to the pool, because there is nothing to limit: the funds for payouts come from current sales and the organiser's reserves, not from an accumulated jackpot. For the player this means one thing – the moment you start playing has no bearing on how much there is to win.

Fixed prize amount versus the odds of winning

The size of the prize and the probability of winning it are two separate matters. In Kaskada each draw is independent of the previous ones – twelve numbers are drawn out of twenty-four, freshly each time. The fact that specific numbers came up in the previous draw, or that nobody has matched the full set for a long time, has no effect whatsoever on the outcome of the next draw. In games with a growing pool there is an illusion that a high jackpot means a “better moment” to play – in Kaskada even that illusion has nothing to rest on, because the amounts never change. Five prize tiers, from PLN 2 for eight matches to PLN 250,000 for twelve, is the complete picture of what there is to win.

Frequently asked questions about the jackpot

Does the jackpot roll over to the next draw in Kaskada?
No. Kaskada pays out prizes as fixed amounts, so there is no pool that could roll over. Matching twelve numbers is always PLN 250,000, no matter how many draws have passed without a winner.
How much are the prizes at each tier in Kaskada?
There are five tiers: 12 matched numbers pays PLN 250,000, 11 matches pays PLN 1,000, 10 matches pays PLN 25, 9 matches pays PLN 8, and 8 matches pays PLN 2 – the same as the price of the ticket itself.
What happens if several players match twelve numbers at once?
Each of them receives the full PLN 250,000. In Kaskada the amounts are fixed rather than split between winners, so the number of matches in a given draw does not reduce the size of any single prize.

What this amount does not change: the size of the pool does not affect the probability of winning. The chance of winning the jackpot is identical whether the pool is two million or a hundred million. Only the amount to be shared increases — along with the number of people you might have to share it with.
