What this amount means

Mini Lotto has no rollover: this is the highest amount that can be won in the next draw, as published by the operator. It does not grow after a draw with no top-prize winner and is not shared from an accumulating pool.

Why does Mini Lotto have no rollover?

Every draw has its own pool from players' bets and is distributed in full on the same day. If no ticket has all five numbers, the amount set aside for the five-number prize does not carry over to the next draw – under the operator's rules it boosts the prizes for matching four and three numbers. The next day the pool starts again. That is why Mini Lotto never shows the growing counter that accompanies Lotto or Eurojackpot.

How does Mini Lotto differ from Lotto and Eurojackpot?

The difference is in the pool mechanism, not just scale. Lotto has a guaranteed first-tier pool and a rollover that grows after draws with no six-number winner; Eurojackpot collects bets from over a dozen countries and rolls the pool over between draws. Mini Lotto works differently: 5 numbers out of 42 instead of 6 out of 49, a PLN 2 bet, a draw every day at 10:00 PM and a pool paid out in full in every draw. The operator says you can win up to PLN 500,000 for PLN 2; the actual five-number prize depends on the day's pool and the number of winners.

What happens when nobody matches five numbers?

The amount reserved for five numbers stays in the same draw and boosts the prizes for four and three numbers. Players with lower matches then receive more than usual, and the next draw starts with a new pool from new bets. When several tickets match five numbers, the five-number amount is split equally between them.

Prize size versus chance of winning

The size of the pool does not change the mathematics of the draw. The chance of matching five numbers in Mini Lotto is 1 in 850,668 in every draw. The balls have no memory – every draw starts from zero. What changes is only how much can be won and how many people the amount might have to be split with. It is worth knowing that 1 in 850,668 is many times better than the chance of matching six in Lotto – and that is the real feature of this game, not a rollover, which it does not have.

Frequently asked questions about the jackpot

Does Mini Lotto have a jackpot rollover?
No. The operator states plainly that Mini Lotto has no rollover – the whole prize pool goes to players in every draw.
What happens to the pool when nobody matches five numbers?
The amount reserved for five numbers does not carry over to the next draw. Under the operator's rules it boosts the prizes for matching four and three numbers in the same draw.
Is it worth waiting to bet until the Mini Lotto prize is higher?
There is nothing to wait for, because the pool does not grow between draws. The probability of matching five numbers is 1 in 850,668 in every draw, and a bet costs PLN 2 regardless of the day.

What this amount does not change: the size of the pool does not affect the probability of winning. The chance of winning the jackpot is identical whether the pool is two million or a hundred million. Only the amount to be shared increases — along with the number of people you might have to share it with.
