Complete history of the game Mini Lotto is over four decades - the first official draw took place in March 1976. At that time the game was called differently, namely Express Lotek, and under this name was present until 2009. Despite the name change the rules remained unchanged, and still players can try to win the prize for the five drawn from forty-two numbers. It should also be mentioned, that the game in Mini Lotto was suspended in 1998 for two years, but relatively quickly returned under player pressure. As statistics show, it still enjoys great interest, despite the fact, that the highest winnings are smaller than for example in traditional Lotto. Smaller prize pools are due to the fact, that players pay a smaller stake for placing a bet, and due to the higher probability of winning which results from the number of balls and the drawn numbers. What does not mean at all, that the game itself is less exciting. On the contrary, in Mini Lotto you can win smaller amounts but much more often. The main rules Mini Lotto game are simple and clear, very similar to those known from Lotto. The main difference is the total number of numbers to be typed, one bet is indicating five out of 42. There are three methods to place bets, which ensures that the game is generally available for practically every player. You can send your ticket at any stationary point, which can be found in every locality. You can either mark your numbers yourself, and in that case they will be read and written on the ticket, you can also decide to bet on the method "quick pick". With this method all numbers are randomly selected by the registration device. On the paper form you can indicate up to 100 bets, there are no restrictions related to the number of forms. To increase the winnings when playing Mini Lotto you can use the Super Chance, i.e. participating in an additional draw of a 7-digit number from the ticket. The Super Chance can be marked in the dedicated place on the form.

Bets in Mini Lotto can also be placed through the Lotto.pl site and with the dedicated application Lotto on smartphones. Play in digital form has many advantages, you don't have to look for a stationary point, because you can do everything regardless of the place, if only have internet access. Another benefit of this type of solution is the individual player's account. On this account are recorded placed bets, there is an option to browse the history so far, and deposits and withdrawals of funds. Very useful is the so-called subscription, which until it expires allows participation in the pool of subsequent games.

Some players like to play the same numbers or sets of numbers. Such players willingly use the option "play again", which allows purchasing identical ticket as previous one. As for Mini Lotto with system play you can mark between 6 and 12 numbers, from 42 from the general pool. The probability of hitting increases significantly with each subsequent number, because the total number of simple bets, which result combinations of chosen numbers. For example a system of 6 numbers translates into 7 single bets, consisting of 7 numbers will be 21 single bets, and for 12 numbers it will be as many as 792. During system play the value of the prize is increased, because besides the one from hitting the most numbers an additional amount is added from the higher tiers.

The simplest bet in the Mini Lotto costs only 1.5 PLN, and you can even play up to 400 thousand PLN. The bet costs are identical for all methods of its placement - it doesn't matter if it is the Lotto.pl site, dedicated application or stationary point. It will not change due to marking numbers on the form by hand or choosing the option random selection by device. Expanding the ticket with the Super Chance option costs an additional 2 PLN. With system play the final cost depends on how many numbers will be marked. In the case of 6 the bet will cost 9 PLN, with 7 - 31.50 PLN, and for 12 - 1188 PLN.

Initially all draws Mini Lotto were held exactly the same, as draws Lotto, that is every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. In April 2014 they were extended to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and since early December 2015 they are held daily. All players play to win - so it is worth learning something more on this subject, how the prize pool looks like in Mini Lotto. As for this game the winnings are fives, fours, and threes, in proportions established by the regulations. The entire prize pool is exactly half of the total amount of paid bets, therefore for each draw it may have a different amount. If there are prizes in all categories, then for the fives fifty percent of the prize pool is allocated, and for the threes and fours respectively 30% and 20%. When in the draw a five was not drawn, then the fours receive 40% of the pool, and the threes the rest. The highest win so far was in 2015, and its amount was almost 400 thousand PLN, in the past there have also been several prizes in an amount greater than 300 thousand PLN.
