History of the game Mini Lotto is over four decades - the first official draw was held at the end of March 1976. At that time the game was called differently, namely Express Lotek, and under this logo was present until 2009. Despite the name change the main rules remained unchanged, and to this day players systematically try to win the money for the five drawn from 42 numbers. It should also be mentioned, that this popular game was suspended in 1998 for two years, and then returned under player pressure. As statistics show, it is still very popular, despite the fact, that the highest prizes are smaller than for example in traditional Lotto. Smaller prize pools are due to the fact, that the stakes are smaller for single bets, and due to the higher probability of winning which results from the drawn numbers and the number of balls. What does not mean at all, that the game itself is less exciting. On the contrary, in Mini Lotto you can win smaller amounts but much more often. The rules Mini Lotto are uncomplicated and simple, they are very similar to those known from Lotto. The main difference is the number of numbers to be marked, one bet is marking five out of 42. There are three ways to place bets, which ensures that the game is generally available for every player. Tickets can be sent at any stationary point, which can be found in practically every place. You can either mark your numbers yourself, and then they will be read and written on the ticket, you can also decide to bet on "quick pick". With this solution all numbers are randomly selected by the machine in the point. On one form indicate up to 10 single bets, there are no restrictions related to the number of paid forms. Additionally when playing Mini Lotto players can use the additional Super Chance, i.e. participating in an additional draw of a 7-digit number printed on the ticket. The Super Chance is marked in the dedicated place on the form.

Bets in Mini Lotto can also be placed through the Lotto.pl site and in the dedicated application Lotto on smartphones. For example a system consisting of 6 numbers will translate into 7 simple bets, a 7-number system will be 21 bets, and in the case of 12 numbers it will be as many as 792. With system play the value of the prize is increased, because besides the one from hitting the most numbers an additional amount is added of higher tiers.

Basic bet for the Mini Lotto costs only 1.5 PLN, and you can play for an amount up to 400 thousand PLN. The bet costs are identical for all methods of its conclusion - it doesn't matter if it is the Lotto.pl site, application or stationary outlet. It will not change due to hand marking numbers on the form or the method random selection by device. Expanding the ticket with the Super Chance option costs an additional 2 PLN. In the case of system play the final cost depends on how many numbers will be marked. With 6 the bet costs 9 PLN, with 7 - 31.50 PLN, and for 12 - 1188 PLN.

During the first years all draws Mini Lotto were held exactly the same, as draws Lotto, that is on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. In mid-April 2014 they were extended to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and since December 2015 they are held every day. All players play mostly to win some prize - so it is worth learning something more on this subject, how the prize pool looks like in Mini Lotto. In this game the winnings are threes, fours, and fives, in proportions established by the regulations. The total prize pool is exactly half of the sum of all bets, for this reason in each draw it will probably be different. When there are prizes in all categories, then for the only fives 50% of the available prize pool is allocated, and for the fours and threes respectively 20% and 30%. But if in the given draw a five was not drawn, then the fours will have 40% of the total pool, and the threes 60%. The highest amount so far was in 2015, and its amount was over 366 thousand PLN, in the past there have also been several winnings of a value greater than 300 thousand PLN.
