It should also be mentioned, that the game in Mini Lotto was suspended in 1998 for two years, but quite quickly returned under player pressure. As statistics show, it still enjoys great interest, despite the fact, that the prize pools are smaller than for example in standard Lotto. Smaller winnings are due to the fact, that players pay a smaller stake for single bets, and due to the higher probability of winning which results from the number of balls and the drawn numbers. The rules game in Mini Lotto are clear and simple, they are very similar to those known from Lotto. The main difference is the number of numbers to be marked, one bet is indicating five out of 42. There are three ways to place bets, which ensures that the game is generally available for every player. You can send your ticket at any stationary point, which can be found in practically every place. You can either mark your numbers yourself, and in that situation they will be read and written on the ticket, and you can also decide to bet on the method "quick pick". With this way all numbers are randomly selected by the registration machine. On the form indicate up to ten bets, there are no restrictions related to the number of forms. To increase the winnings when playing Mini Lotto players can use the additional Super Chance, i.e. participating in an additional draw of a 7-digit number printed on the ticket. The Super Chance can be marked in the dedicated place on the form.

All bets in Mini Lotto can also be placed online and via the dedicated application Lotto installed on smartphones. Electronic play has many advantages, you don't have to look for a place with a point, because you can do everything from anywhere, if only have access to the internet. Another benefit of this type of play is the access to the individual account. In the case of Mini Lotto with system play you can mark between six and twelve numbers, from 42 from the general pool. The chances of winning increases significantly with each subsequent number, because the total number of simple bets, which result from all possible combinations. For example 6-number system translates into 7 simple bets, a 7-number system will be 21 single bets, and in the case of 12 numbers it is as many as 792. During system play the prizes are increased, because besides the one from hitting the most numbers an additional amount is added from the higher tiers.

The simplest bet in Mini Lotto costs only 1.5 PLN, and you can play for an amount up to 400 thousand PLN. The bet costs are identical for all methods of its purchase - it doesn't matter if it is the online service, dedicated application or stationary point. It will not change due to hand marking numbers on the form or the method random selection by device. Expanding the ticket with the Super Chance option costs an additional 2 PLN. In the case of system play the final fee depends on how many numbers will be selected. With 6 for the bet you will have to pay 9 PLN, in the case of 7 - 31.50 PLN, and for 12 - 1188 PLN.

Initially all draws of the Mini Lotto were held exactly the same, as draws Lotto, that is on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. In April 2014 they were extended to Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and since December 2015 they are held throughout the week. All players play mostly to win something - so it is worth learning something more about it, how the prize pool looks like in Mini Lotto. In this game the winnings are fives, fours, and threes, in proportions given by the regulations. The entire prize pool is half of the total amount of bets, therefore for each draw it will probably be different. When there are prizes in each category, then for the fives fifty percent of the prize pool is allocated, and for the threes and fours respectively 30% and 20%. If in the draw there is no five, then the fours receive 40% of the total pool, and the threes the rest. The highest amount so far was in 2015, and was close to 400 thousand PLN, in the past there have also been many prizes of a value greater than 300 thousand PLN.
