At that time the game was called differently, namely Express Lotek, and in this form it ran until 2009. It should also be mentioned, that this popular game was suspended in 1998 for several months, but relatively quickly returned under player pressure. As statistics show, it is still very popular, despite the fact, that the prize pools are smaller than for example in standard Lotto. Smaller prize pools are due to the fact, that the stakes are smaller for single bets, and due to the higher probability of winning which results from the drawn numbers and the number of balls. The rules Mini Lotto game are simple and clear, they are very similar to those known from Lotto. The main difference is the total number of numbers to be marked, one bet is indicating five out of 42. There are three ways to place bets, which ensures that the game will be available for a wide group of players. You can send your ticket at all stationary points, which can be found in practically every locality. You can either mark your numbers yourself, and in that situation they will be read and written on the ticket, you can also decide to bet "quick pick". With this method all numbers are randomly selected by the machine in the point. On one form you can indicate up to 10 single bets, there are no restrictions related to the total number of forms. Additionally playing Mini Lotto players can use the additional Super Chance, i.e. participating in an additional draw of a 7-digit number printed on the ticket. The Super Chance is marked in the dedicated place on the form.

Bets in Mini Lotto can also be placed on the Lotto.pl site and with the special application Lotto installed on phones. Play in digital form has many advantages, you don't have to look for the nearest point, because you can do everything anywhere, if only have internet access. The probability of winning increases significantly with each additional number, because the total number of simple bets, which result from all possible combinations. For example a system of 6 numbers translates into 7 simple bets, consisting of 7 numbers will be 21 single bets, and for 12 numbers it is as many as 792. In the case of system play the amount of the prize is multiplied, because besides the one from hitting the most numbers an additional amount is added of higher tiers.

One bet for Mini Lotto costs only 1.5 PLN, and you can play for an amount up to 400 thousand PLN. The bet costs are identical for every method of its conclusion - it doesn't matter if it is the online service, phone application or stationary outlet. It will not change due to hand marking numbers on the form or choosing the option random selection by machine. Expanding the ticket with the Super Chance option costs an additional 2 PLN. In the case of system play the final cost depends on how many numbers will be marked. With 6 the bet will cost 9 PLN, with 7 - 31.50 PLN, and for 12 - 1188 PLN.

Initially draws Mini Lotto were held exactly the same, as draws Lotto, that is on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. In 2014, in April they were extended to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and since December 2, 2015 they are held throughout the week. As for this game the winnings are threes, fours, and fives, in proportions given by the regulations. The prize pool is half of the total amount of bets, for this reason in each draw it will probably have a different amount. If there are prizes in each category, then for the fives fifty percent of the available prize pool is allocated, for the fours 20% and the threes 30%. When in the draw no five fell, then the fours will have 40% of the pool, and the threes the rest.
