History of the game Mini Lotto is already over 4 decades - the first draw was held at the end of March 1976. At that period the game was called differently, namely Express Lotek, and under this name it ran until 2009. Although the name changed the rules remained unchanged, and to this day all players can try to win the five drawn from forty-two numbers. It should also be mentioned, that this popular game was suspended in 1998 for several months, but later returned under player pressure. As it turns out, it is still very popular, despite the fact, that the highest winnings are smaller than for example in standard Lotto. Smaller prize pools are due to the fact, that the stakes are smaller for placing a bet, and due to the higher probability of winning which results from the number of balls and the drawn numbers. What does not mean at all, that the game is less exciting. On the contrary, in Mini Lotto you can win smaller amounts but much more often. The main rules game in Mini Lotto are simple and clear, very similar to those known from Lotto. The main difference is the total number of numbers to be typed, one bet is indicating five out of 42. There are three methods to place bets, which ensures that the game will be available for every player. You can send your ticket at all stationary points, which can be found in practically every city. You can either mark your numbers yourself, and in that situation they will be read and written on the ticket, you can also decide to bet on the method "quick pick". With this method all numbers are randomly selected by the registration machine. On the paper form indicate up to a maximum of ten single bets, there are no restrictions related to the total number of forms. To increase the winnings when playing Mini Lotto you can use the Super Chance, i.e. participating in an additional draw of a 7-digit number printed on the ticket. The Super Chance is marked in the appropriate place on the form.

Bets in Mini Lotto can also be placed online and with the application Lotto installed on smartphones. Electronic play has many advantages, you don't have to look for a stationary point, because you can do everything from anywhere, if only have access to the internet. An additional benefit of this type of play is the individual player's account. On this account are recorded all player bets, there is an option to browse the history, and deposits and withdrawals of funds. Very useful is the so-called subscription, which until it expires allows participation in the certain number of subsequent games.

As for Mini Lotto with system play you can mark from 6 to 12 numbers, from the available 42. The chances of winning increases significantly with each of the subsequent numbers, because the total number of individual bets, which result from all existing combinations. For example 6-number system will translate into 7 single bets, consisting of 7 numbers will be 21 single bets, and in the case of 12 it is as many as 792. During system play the prizes are increased, because besides the one from hitting the most numbers an additional amount is added of higher tiers.

The simplest bet in the Mini Lotto costs only 1.5 PLN, and you can play for an amount up to 400 thousand PLN. The bet costs are the same regardless of the method of its placement - it doesn't matter if it is the Lotto.pl site, Lotto application or stationary outlet. It will not change due to hand marking numbers on the form or the option random selection by device. Expanding the ticket with the Super Chance option costs an additional 2 PLN. As for system play the final cost depends on how many numbers will be selected. With 6 the bet costs 9 PLN, in the case of 7 - 31.50 PLN, and for 12 - 1188 PLN.

During the first years all draws Mini Lotto were held exactly the same, as the standard draws Lotto, that is every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Since mid-April 2014 they were extended to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and since early December 2015 they are held every day. Players play mostly to win some prize - so it is good to learning something more about it, how the prize pool looks like in Mini Lotto. In this game the winnings are threes, fours, and fives, in proportions given by the regulations. The total prize pool is exactly half of the total amount of paid bets, therefore in each draw it will probably be different. If there are prizes in all categories, then for the fives fifty percent of the prize pool is allocated, and for the fours and threes respectively 20% and 30%. But if in the draw no five was drawn, then the fours receive 40% of the total pool, and the threes the rest.
